Skills assessment for content design

I was working with a team that was in the early stages of developing their content design discipline. They had yet to embed senior and lead roles. Content designers were reporting to managers in other digital disciplines, who struggled to set their objectives appropriately.

I made this spreadsheet and chart to help the team assess for themselves where they were and which areas they needed more exposure to. This enabled individuals to identify training and development opportunities for themselves, and helped managers to see which people might benefit from moving into different types of work within the team.

At the team of writing, the team was still using this.
